Do eggs float in water? We found out …..NO. But, if you add salt to the water, they do float. This is because adding salt makes the water more dense. Just like thick honey or washing up liquid. Do other objects float in water without salt? Try it at home to find out.

Do you know happens when you mix oil and water? The children in science club found out today. We found that oil and water don’t mix unless we added washing up liquid.
Static Electricity
For our first session, the children have been learning about static electricity. We used balloons, a comb and tissue paper. Look at what happened to our hair and the tissue paper when we rubbed the balloon against our jumpers.
